According to TechCrunch, the decision has apparently been taken after sensitive data from Samsung was accidentally leaked to ChatGPT last month. According to earlier reports, soon after Samsung's semiconductor division started allowing engineers to use ChatGPT, workers leaked secret info to it on at least three occasions.
Samsung logs worst quarter in 14 years amid memory chip glut
The world's largest memory chip and smartphone maker reported operating profit of 640.2 billion won ($478 million) during the January-March period, falling 95 percent from the 14.12 trillion won it posted a year ago.Its first-quarter net income came to 1.57 trillion won, down 86.1 percent from a year earlier. Sales fell 18 per cent to 63.74 trillion won, reports Yonhap news agency.

Samsung's SDI division, responsible for battery research and development, is reportedly exploring the possibility of introducing stacked batteries to their smartphone business, reports GSMArena. Unlike a change to the chemical composition of the battery, this innovation involves rearranging the cells within the battery, resulting in a higher energy density, which in turn, will allow for a greater capacity of the battery to fit within the same volume, potentially extending the battery life of Samsung's future smartphones.

The company launched the app in beta and will be rolled out to users in the US. "We created Samsung News to deliver breaking and premium news to Galaxy users in an easy-to-access format.
