Para-shuttler Mandeep Kaur becomes world No.1 in women's singles SL3 category
Kaur participated in the recently concluded Spanish Level II Para-Badminton International tournament, which serves as one of the qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Paralympics, held in Vitoria Gasteiz Spain between 20th-26th February 2023. She clinched a silver medal in the mixed doubles SL3-SU5 category along with her mixed partner Chirag Baretha and also won a bronze medal in the women's singles SL3 category.
International Paralympic Committee suspends Russia, Belarus
IPC members voted 64-39 in favour of a motion to suspend Russia (with 16 members abstaining), while 54-45 voted to suspend Belarus (with 18 abstaining). The decision by IPC members to suspend NPC Russia and NPC Belarus stems from their inability to comply with their membership obligations under the IPC Constitution.

The Indian team finished with a total of 1579-13x, finishing behind the South Korean team ofSea Kyun Park, Aeekyung Moon and Jungnam Kim, who won the gold medal with an aggregate score of 1592-21x. Turkey claimed the bronze medal with a total of 1574-23x. This was the only gold for India on Monday as the seasoned Singhraj could manage only fifth position with a total of 157.3 in the individual section of P4-Mixed 50m Pistol SH1.

Pramod Bhagat defeated compatriot Nitesh Kumar 21-19, 21-19 in 53 minutes to clinch the gold medal in the men's singles SL3 event. The match was tightly contested but Pramod managed to hold his nerves and had an answer to everything that Nitesh through at him. In the men's doubles, Pramod and his Men's doubles partner Manoj Sarkar went down fighting to Indonesia's Hikmat Ramdani and Ukun Rukaendi in 3 sets to settle for silver the final score read 21-14, 18-21, 13-21.
Para-badminton World Championship: Pramod Bhagat reaches singles, doubles finals
Pramod Bhagat, who is playing his seventh career World Championships, has won a total of five gold, one silver and three bronze medals in singles and doubles in the six championships he has played. Moreover, except for the 2007 and 2017 World Championships, Pramod has reached the finals in all the editions. Saturday's exciting semifinal match was between Pramod Bhagat and Japan's Daisuki Fujihara in which Pramod entered the final with a score of 22-20, 21-14. He will meet his countryman Nitesh Kumar in the final.
Changwon 2022 World Cup: Singhraj adds medals to India's tally
According to information received here, Singhraj claimed the P4 - Mixed 50m Pistol individual bronze and teamed up with Rahul Jakhar and Deepender Singh to take the Team silver. Rifle shooter Sidhartha Babu claimed the bronze in R3 - Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH1 finals. Overall, India have one gold, two silver and three bronze medals to take third place in the medals table at the ongoing event that runs until August 24, 2022.
India's Ashok Malik wins gold in Asia-Oceania Para Powerlifting C'ships
Malik also bagged a bronze medal in the individual category. He clinched gold by lifting a total of 491 kg to finish ahead of Yi Zou of China and Amir Jafari Arangeh of Iran in the regional competition. The Chinese lifter had a total of 390 kg while the Iranian finished third with 382 kg. In the overall Individual category, Malik won bronze with a best lift of 173 kg.
