The scene consists of one scene showing an inaccurate depiction of the American flag. Audiences and historians took to social media to display their annoyance at this hiccup. The scene showcases J. Robert Oppenheimer standing in front of the American flag, somewhere in the 1940’s waving to a clapping audience, with the audiences waving their star-spangled US flags back at the team of scientists during the Trinity Test.

The 'Peaky Blinders' star, who is from Cork, Ireland, plays the lead in ‘Oppenheimer’. Murphy said the sex scenes with co-star Florence Pugh, who plays love interest Jean Tatlock, actually have a good reason for appearing in the film. 

The epic biographical thriller 'Oppenheimer', written and directed by Christopher Nolan, gives us a fatalistic view of nuclear weapons, and the trauma that they entail. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning 2005 biography 'American Prometheus' by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, the film is about the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, who pioneered the study of the first nuclear weapons as part of the Manhattan Project, thereby ushering in the Atomic Age.
