Her statement was recorded in the presence of Metropolitan Magistrate Akriti Mahendru. Co-accused, actor Jacqueline Fernandez is also being investigated by the Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in the case. Earlier, Fatehi had also appeared before the EOW.

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) of Patiala House court transferred the defamation case to Metropolitan Magistrate Kapil Gupta, who listed it for next month. On December 12, Nora had filed a defamation case in a court here against Jacqueline, alleging that the latter made defamatory allegations against her for "malicious reasons" and to destroy her career.

According to Fatehi, Fernandez sought to criminally defame her in order to destroy her career to further her own interests, since they are both working in the same industry and have similar backgrounds, amongst other reasons.

Nora Fatehi is being grilled by a team of elite officials of the anti-money laundering agency. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had recently filed its second supplementary charge sheet in which Fatehi had been named as an accused. Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi had recorded her statement as witnesses in the case.

Nora, who performed on the official FIFA World Cup anthem 'Light The Sky', 'O Saki Saki' and others, was criticised for "disrespecting" the Indian flag at the event. Nora Fatehi was earlier grilled by the EOW in connection with the same case in the first week of September. On Wednesday, Jacqueline reached the EOW office here at around 11 am and her grilling went on till about 8 pm. According to sources, after grilling Nora on Thursday, the police will decide when to summon Jacqueline again.

In the upcoming period drama directed by Krish, Nora will essay the role of Roshanara Begum, Shah Jahan's third daughter and (Aurangazeb's sister), according to reports. The role was supposed to be played by Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez, but she has now been replaced by Nora. Nora, who has previously appeared in special numbers for Telugu films such as 'Kick 2', 'Baahubali', 'Temper,' and others, will soon join the cast of 'HHVM.'

Talking about the experience, Nora said: "On sets we often have minor incidents like scraping of knees, bleeding of feet, or something like that, but this definitely has been my worst experience on set. The necklace was extremely tight around my neck because of the weight of the cape and since I was constantly moving.
