LIC Reports Net Profit of ₹7,621 Crore for July-September Quarter
For the quarter under review, net premium income increased by 11 percent to Rs 1.19 lakh crore against Rs 1.07 lakh crore for the same period in the previous year.

LIC had earlier declared an interim dividend of Rs 2,441.45 crore on March 1, taking the total dividend paid to the government for the fiscal year 2023-24 to Rs 6,103.62 crore. Additional Secretary, Department of Financial Services, M.P. Tangirala and senior officials of LIC were also present at the occasion. Turning 68 years since its incorporation, LIC recorded an asset base of more than Rs 52.85 lakh crore as on March 31, 2024.

Other details show that the 'Individual Premium' segment fetched in ₹5,479.57 crore in July, which is a 14.72 per cent increase from ₹4,776.66 crore in July 2023. The 'Group Premium', the second basket, recorded a massive rise of 22.74 per cent at ₹12,838.14 crore in July 2024 against ₹10,460 crore during the same month a year ago.
