Sequoia Capital India to take tough action against frauds at Indian startups

"These allegations are deeply disturbing. We have always strongly encouraged founders to play the long game. We focus on the enduring, and discourage focussing on vanity metrics. As per a Crisil Research's analysis of over 300 companies, corporate profitability, or the average Ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) margin, likely declined by 200-300 basis points (bps) on-year and 40-60 bps sequentially in the fourth quarter (Q4) of fiscal 2022. This marks the second on-year decline in 12 quarters, it said.
