Huma Qureshi was speaking at the trailer launch of 'Monica, O My Darling' in Mumbai. In the trailer, the audience can hear 'Piya Tu Ab Toh Aa Jaa' playing in the background as it flawlessly ties the events in the trailer as it slowly gives way to the title 'Monica, O My Darling', which is an expression taken from the track.

Mrunal started her career with TV and during her college days got the lead role in 'Mujhse Kuchh Kehti...Yeh Khamoshiyaan'. Later, she signed the most popular show 'Kumkum Bhagya' and also appeared as a contestant on 'Box Cricket League 1' and 'Nach Baliye 7'.

Huma took to Instagram, where she shared a note on how the idea came. She wrote: "What started out as a fun conversation with my closest friends & family --- Sonakshi, Zaheer, Saqib and Mudassar, literally in my living room, has now resulted in this film. All the actors were lamenting about the 'post lockdown weight' that we had gained and Mudassar spun a story around it, impromptu."

The series was shot across Bhopal, Hoshangabad, and Jammu & Kashmir. "Jammu was a short schedule but played a crucial role in the storyline nevertheless. It was such a beautiful place to shoot. Season 2 will be bigger with a lot of twists and turns," said Huma. The web series is a political thriller, created and written by Subhash Kapoor, directed by Karan Sharma.

Having tasted success on both the big screen and the digital space, Huma in a chat with IANS said: "There is no first love for me. The story is important. Does not matter where it comes from. My job as an actor is to play roles convincingly and to the best of my abilities."
