DDA gives final nod to affordable rental housing complexes

The approval was granted in a board meeting chaired by Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal, who is also chairman of the DDA. The policy will now be sent to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for final notification, said a senior DDA official.The scheme, which was granted initial approval from the land owning agency (DDA) earlier in March , has been framed to develop affordable rental housing avenues for urban migrants and urban poor.
478 infra projects report cost overrun of Rs 4.4 lakh cr

The Flash Report for central sector projects for May released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation showed that 525 projects are running behind schedule. "Total original cost of implementation of the 1,768 projects was Rs 22,86,955.18 crore and their anticipated completion cost is likely to be Rs 27,27,220.47 crore, which reflects overall cost overruns of Rs 4,40,265.29 crore (19.25 per cent of original cost)," it said.
Piramal Capital & Housing Finance raises Rs 4,050 cr via NCDs

Rajesh Laddha, Executive Director, Piramal Enterprises Ltd said: "Since the beginning of FY 2020, we have significantly transformed the liabilities profile towards more stable, long-term sources of funds. The company has raised over Rs 50,000 crore since April, 2019, through multiple long-term borrowings and equity transactions, thereby materially strengthening the balance sheet."
DDA launches new housing scheme, offers 1,354 flats

Of the 1,354 flats, 254 are HIG in Dwarka, Rohini, Paschim Vihar Jasola, and Vasant Kunj. As many as 757 MIG category flats are located in Dwarka, Rohini, Vasant Kunj, Janahgirpuri, and Madipur. Officials said 291 flats have been earmarked for the economically weaker sections. The remaining 52 are Low-Income Group category flats in Dwarka and Rohini.
