Japan's Renesas joins Tata Motors to build chips for India, global markets

The aim is to enhance innovation across electronics systems for the Indian and emerging markets. Renesas will collaborate with Tejas for implementing next-generation wireless network solutions, including design and development of semiconductor solutions for radio units (RU) used in telecom networks, from 4G, 5G, to open radio access network (O-RAN) for the 5G era.
'Indian MSMEs have manufacturing cost advantage in global value chain'

The MSME Ministry has been working closely with other Ministries and Departments to facilitate the ease of doing business for MSMEs, he said in his address at the inaugural session of MSME Conclave organised by EEPC India. MSMEs contribute around 30 per cent to India's GDP and have a 50 per cent share in the country's exports. MSMEs engaged in manufacturing engineering products are about 29 per cent of the 67 lakh MSMEs which have registered since July 1, 2020 on the Udyam registration portal.
PM Modi asks diplomats to showcase India's 'manufacturing prowess' abroad

Addressing the Indian Missions across the globe virtually, Modi also called for close co-ordination among the diplomats, Commerce Ministry, Indian exporters and producers in a bid to boost exports from the country. He was of the view that now is the time to move ahead with targets in terms of 'Brand India'. The Prime Minister said that there is scope to increase the share of exports in the GDP.
Global manufacturing activity expands in March: Index

The global manufacturing purchasing managers' index (PMI) stood at 57.8 in March, up by 2.2 percentage points from the previous month, according to the CFLP, Xinhua reported on Sunday.
