India's para badminton coach Gaurav Khanna vows to win 10 medals at 2024 Paralympic Games

India's para badminton coach Gaurav Khanna has set a target of 10 medals from the next Paralympic Games in Paris. "we have drawn out a holistic plan to build on our recent successes with the aim of making India a true world force in para badminton," Gaurav Khanna said in a press conference.

Overall India won five gold medals, six silver and three bronze to claim eighth place in the medals table. Colombia finished on top with 25 medals including 12 gold, followed by Algeria (16) and Thailand (30) with 11 and 8 gold medals respectively.

Blade runner Desai wins India's first gold at Dubai 2022 Para Athletics GP

It was the only medal for India on the day as throwers faltered at the Dubai Club for People of Determination grounds.Desai led from start-to-finish to finish the race in 24.42 secs, ahead of Thailand's Denpoom Kotcharang (25.78 sec) and Kenneth Jenssen Heggdal of Norway (27.08 sec).
Spanish Para Badminton: Pramod Bhagat bags 2 silver, one bronze

World No 1 Pramod Bhagat has won two silver and a bronze medal at the recently concluded Iberdrola Spanish Para Badminton International 2022. World No 2 Sukant Kadam also ended up with a bronze. The Padma Shree Awardee went down to World No 2 England's Daniel Bethell in straight sets, the score line read 9-21, 13-21. The match seemed much closer than what the score line reads and lasted for 39 minutes.
