Athiya took to Instagram to share pictures from one of her pre-wedding ceremonies. A picture also features cricketer K.L. Rahul giving Athiya a hug, though his face is not visible. The new pictures show Athiya dressed in a shiny beige saree and pink blouse with traditional gold and jewellery.

"Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that's given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness," Athiya wrote in her Instagram post with pictures of the newlywed couple in their finery.

In a video seen on celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani's account, Suniel is seen getting out of his car and walking up to the paparazzi. He is heard telling them: "Aa rahe hain hum log. Kal unko leke aata hoon, bachchon ko." According to media reports, the wedding ceremony will be taking place on Monday and will be a family affair.

Suniel took to Instagram, where he shared a selfie with Athiya. In the image, the actress looks every-inch gorgeous in Indian wear while the actor looks dapper in a suit. "Happy happy birthday my LIFE @athiyashetty #fatherdaughter #foreverbaby #love #daughter #heart #beauty #brat," Suniel captioned the image.

Athiya and Rahul, Team India's opener now in Dubai for the Asia Cup, publicly admitted to being in a relationship last year when the cricketer wished Athiya on her birthday with a social media post. Rahul also attended the premiere of Athiya's brother Ahan Shetty's debut film 'Tadap'. The two have been in a relationship for almost three years and are often spotted at movie screenings and parties. 

Athiya, the daughter of Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, responded for the first time to rumours that the couple is marrying in the next few of months. On Wednesday, she took to her Instagram stories and wrote: "I hope I'm invited to this wedding that's taking place in 3 months lol."

Akansha, who has worked in the series 'Guilty', took to her Instagram stories to post two separate photos of Athiya and Rahul. In the photo, the actress can be seen wearing an off-shoulder dress and captioned it: "love of my life." She also shared Rahul's photo and wrote, "love of my life x2." Athiya and Rahul's wedding rumours have been doing the rounds, however there is no confirmation yet.
