No proposal with government to restore old pension scheme, says minister

In a letter to the Prime Minister, the Hyderabad MP said he should defend the Act as it upholds India's diversity. Owaisi wrote the letter in the wake of the hearing in the Supreme Court of a petition challenging the constitutionality of the Act. He also wrote that Delhi Police does nothing about anti-Muslim genocidal slogans but acts swiftly against "crime" of reporting hate speech and countering misinformation.

Owaisi has received a good response in Limbayat, however a small section of the community opposed his visit to the constituency by showing black flags while he was on his way to address a gathering on Monday. The AIMIM leader has advocated for political weightage and representation for Muslims in the state "as like Patidars, Muslims in the state too share 14 per cent of the state's population".
