Microsoft gives customers access to OpenAI's powerful language model

Microsoft will also offer Azure OpenAI Service customers new tools to help ensure outputs that the model returns are appropriate for their businesses, and it will monitor how people are employing the technology to help ensure it's being used for its intended purposes.
TCL unveils full-colour microLED AR glasses

At present, TCL has not revealed the price and availability of the AR glasses, reports GSMArena. In terms of specifications, it features a microLED display and contain a waveguide developed in-house by TCL. Thunderbird Smart Glasses look like normal sunglasses with colour screens that are transparent and comes with an inbuilt camera.

AI software segment will dominate the market and would grow from $2.8 billion in 2020 at a CAGR of 18.1 per cent by the end of 2025.
How AI can help in Covid-19 treatment

Over 20 hospitals worldwide in collaboration with NVIDIAA -- a leader in AI technology -- tested a new AI-based technique, known as federated learning, using data from across five continents. The technique uses an algorithm to analyse chest X-rays and electronic health data from hospital patients with Covid symptoms. Once the algorithm had "learned" from the data, the analysis was brought together to build an AI tool -- EXAM (electronic medical record (EMR) chest X-ray AI model) -- which could predict the oxygen needs of hospital Covid patients anywhere in the world.
AI to predict Covid patients at dire need for ventilators

The team at Case Western Reserve University developed the tool, through analysis of CT scans from nearly 900 Covid-19 patients diagnosed in 2020, and is able to predict ventilator need with 84 per cent accuracy.
New AI tool to help predict Arctic sea ice loss

The AI system, IceNet, addresses the challenge of producing accurate Arctic sea ice forecasts for the season ahead -- something that has eluded scientists for decades. A team of researchers led by British Antarctic Survey (BAS) and The Alan Turing Institute have described IceNet in the journal Nature Communications. IceNet -- the AI predictive tool -- is almost 95 per cent accurate.
Zendesk acquires AI automation platform Cleverly.ai
