Scoring his hundred in merely 35 balls, the left-handed batsman not only signed his name in the records of the youngest IPL centurions but also marked the second-fastest hundred in the league's history. His first-wicket stand with Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 166 runs to the Royals, creating a new Royals record.

"It is a highly rewarding feeling. It's my first hundred in the IPL and it's my third innings. The work put in here before the tournament has paid its dividend," Suryavanshi said after being rightfully deservedly declared player of the match.

I just see the ball and play. It has been a dream to make a 100 in the IPL, and today it became true. There is no fear. I don't think much, I just play.

Suryavanshi's century eclipsed the Indian all-time record for fastest IPL ton, previously held by Yusuf Pathan, who scored his in 37 balls playing for Rajasthan in 2010. "A lot of congratulations to young Vaibhav Suryavanshi for breaking my record of fastest IPL hundred by an Indian," Pathan wrote on Twitter. "Even more special to have it happen while playing for Rajasthan Royals, just like I did."

The teenage sensation first hit the headlines last year when, at the age of 13, he became the youngest player to be signed by an IPL team. His maiden match earlier this month was also unforgettable as he started his first ball in the tournament with a six.

Suryavanshi’s impressive resume includes a Ranji Trophy debut at just 12 years old and a century against Australia while representing India’s Under-19 team. He also notched up a remarkable triple century in a local tournament back in Bihar, his home state.

Despite a rough patch in recent games, this dominant victory snapped Rajasthan Royals' five-match losing streak and moved them up from the bottom of the IPL standings.
