Gabbi was born on the 29th of September 1993 in Chandigarh. Her father, Govardhan Gabbi, is a Hindi and Punjabi author, while her mother, Raj Kumari, is an educationist.
She completed her schooling from Chandigarh’s St. Xavier’s School and later attended DAV College for her graduation.
Wamiqa embarked on her acting career as a child artist in the Punjabi TV serial “Saude Dillan De”. However, in 2013, she made her movie debut in the Punjabi movie “Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22”, co-starring with Honey Singh and Amrinder Gill.
She has appeared in Punjabi movies like “Ishq Brandy” and “Ishq Haazir Hai”, among many others. The actress has also worked in Hindi films such as “Jab We Met”, “Love Aaj Kal”, and “Bittoo Boss”, among others.
