1. Deepika Padukone: The Bollywood actor revealed that her mental health was in a really bad space. “My breath was shallow, I suffered from lack of concentration and I broke down often.” She said. The actress not just educated others about mental health issues but even established a center to educate and help others.

2. Varun Dhawan: During one of his interviews Varun revealed that he was suffering from depression during the filming of Badlapur. Even though it was not clinically diagnosed but it put her mental state in a really bad situation. I was depressed. I was not clinically declared depressed but I was heading there. I was very sad to a certain degree. I don't want to use the term 'depression' loosely because it's a serious illness. The actor said.

3. Anushka Sharma: “Depression is a prison where you are both the suffering prisoner and the cruel jailer.” The Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi actress said while talking about her mental illness. She revealed that she has anxiety issues that snatched many opportunities from her.

4. Amitabh Bachchan: The Big B has his even own share of stories to tell when it comes to mental disorders. Depression came into his life when he turned producer and gave all his money to his company ABCL. After back-to-back flops and failure Amitabh went bankrupt and entered a phase of depression.

5. Randeep Hooda: One of the most versatile actors in the industry, Randeep Hooda revealed that he entered an early stage of depression during the shooting of Imtiaz Ali’s Highway. His depression continued till the shooting of Sarabjit with he lost 18 kg weight in just 28 days.

6. Ileana D’cruz: In an interview with Miss Malini, actress Ileana D'Cruz talked about her struggle with Body Dysmorphic Disorder, anxiety and depression and how constant help and support from family and friends help her during tough times.

7. Shah Rukh Khan: Even the king khan of the industry got trapped in the trap if depression. Depression came into his life right after his shoulder injury in 2010. Due to the shoulder injury and the suffering, I had got into a depression mode but now I am out of it. I feel happy and boosted with energy.

8. Manisha Koirala: One of the most established actresses of Bollywood, Manisha Koirala suffered from clinical depression, the cause of which was her ex-husband Samrat Dalal. Not only does she battle clinical depression but she is also a cancer survivor. This is what one of her Facebook statuses said when she was going through that bad phase.

9. Karan Johar: The 46-year-old moviemaker went through a year and a half of struggle with depression and anxiety. The film director also shared in a telly interview how he had to take anti-anxiety medications for a while.
