1. Brahmastra: Bhrahmastra is the ambitious project of Ayan Mukherjee tracing the roots of Hindu mythology. According to the report, the movie is based on the weapon of Brahma that played a pivotal part role in Hindu wars. The movie captures Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Mouni Roy, in the lead roles.

2. The Immortal Ashwarthama: After the success of URI, Aditya Dhar and Vicky Kaushal are coming back together for another mythological movie based on the character of Ashwarthama, who played an important role in Mahabharata, who was the son of guru Dronacharya and was cursed to stay immortal. The movie is going to capture Vicky Kaushal in lead.

3. Ram Setu: Akshay Kumar is currently reeling for Bachchan Panday but he is soon going to come up with a mythological movie titled Ram Setu. The film is directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films.

4. Adipursh: The heart robs of the cinema SS Rajmauli and Prabhas are coming back together for another mythological, titled Adipursh, which is based on the character of Ram from Ramayan. According to the reports, Prabhas is roped for the role of Ram and Saif Ali Khan for the role of Ravan.

5. Chanakya: Next on the list we have Ajay Devgn, who impressed the audience with his performance in Tanhaji is all set to make an appearance in this genre with his outing titled Chanakya. This historical drama will be made in two parts, and Ajay Devgn is going to shave his head off to portray this ancient character.

6. Prithvi Raj: Based on the life of great Hindu warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan, this period war-drama will unfold Samrat Prithviraj’s initial military attainments, love saga with princess Sanyukta, and the battle with Mohammed Ghori of Afghanistan who led the Islamic conquest of Hindustan.

7. Ramayan Trilogy: In 2019, director Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame announced that he’s making a movie on the Hindu mythological epic Ramayana. The film grabbed headlines because it was revealed that it will be made on a budget of 500 crores, as per a Financial Express report.

8. Mahabharat: Apart from Ramayana, there's another ambitious movie in the works that will revolve around the epic tale of Mahabharata. According to TOI, it will feature Deepika Padukone as Draupadi and Aamir Khan in a prominent role and is expected to hit the theatres by Diwali 2021. Veteran scriptwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad, best known for his work in the Baahubali series is said to be in talks to helm the script for this film.
