The 75th Marche’ Du Films or also known Cannes Film Festival kick-started on May 17, with India in the limelight. At the 75th festival, India has been announced as the ‘country of honor. This is a big achievement for the nations, as India became the first country to receive this honor badge. And the Indian cinema celebrities are leaving no chance to take the full use of this opportunity. Using this opportunity, the Information and Broadcasting ministry chose six Indian films to be screened at the Cannes Film Market. 1. Rocketry – The Nambi Effect: Portraying the life story of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of IRSO, the movie captures R.Madhavan in the lead role. The movie is the struggle story of the scientist and how he got free from the charges of leaking top-secret defense secrets.

2. Alpha Beta Gamma: Helmed by Shankar Srikumar, the romantic drama titled Alpha Beta Gamma was premiered at the International film festival of India before being selected for Cannes. The film is the story of a woman, who gets stuck with her lover and her soon-to-be husband in the same house during the lockdown.

3. Niraye Thathakalulla Maram: With a promising and heartwarming trailer, the Malayalam movie titled Niraye Thathakalulla Maram, is the story of a kid who helps a blind old man who loses his memory to reach back to his home.

6. Dhuin: Directed by Gamak Ghar fame Achal Mishra, Dhuin follows an aspiring actor who is trying to make ends meet by doing street plays. The film was previously screened at the 22nd Mumbai Film Festival. Much like Gamak Ghar, this film is also set in Darbhanga.
