2023 will witness the arrival of many new cars in the Indian market. After relaxation in the guidelines of covid- 19, the Indian automotive industry is coming back on the track with the Auto Expo 2023 event which was postponed in 2022 because of the pandemic. At the event, many biggest companies gave the clues of launching their upcoming car models that can hit the road in 2023. People are also excited to know about new Facelifts, new CNG/ petrol and diesel variants. New special editions of many vehicles would be launched in 2023. Here we've compile a list of top 10 upcoming cars in 2023:-

1. Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door SUV (Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom):- This SUV is powered by the 1.5-litre K15B, 1498 cc petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 101 bhp at 6000rpm and a maximum torque of 130 Nm at 4000rpm. The two variants of this SUV come with the five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic transmission.

2. Maruti Suzuki Fronx (Rs.8.00 lakh ex-showroom):- The Maruti FRONX is powered by 1197 cc petrol engine paired with manual transmission. Bookings are opened by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000. It is expected to launch in May 2023.

3. Mahindra Thar 5-Door (expected Rs 15 lakh) :- The 5-door Mahindra Thar SUV will get the1447 cc petrol engine and 1997 cc diesel engines that are paired with both automatic and manual transmission. The Thar provides a mileage of 15.2 kmpl and also it has a 226mm ground clearance.

4. Honda City facelift (expected price 12 lakh) :- Honda City facelift will be set to launch in March 2023. It is the 5th generation City facelift which was tested recently by the company, and will be powered by a 1498 cc petrol engine paired with a manual transmission.

5. Hyundai Creta 2024 (expected price Rs 10 lakh) :- Hyundai Creta 2024 is powered by a 1499 cc petrol engine. This SUV will be launched by Diwali 2024 by the company.

6. Tata Sierra EV (Rs 25 lakh ex-showroom):- The SUV is expected to get a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with manual and automatic gearbox options. The SUV is expected to come with a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with two manual and automatic transmission options.Tata Sierra Electric SUV will be available in grey colours.

7. Tata Altroz Racer ( expected price 8.00 - 12.00 Lakh ):- Tata Altroz Racer was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. This hatchback will come with blacked-out roof, elegant black alloy wheels, a black hood, and ORVMs painted in black. The engine is paired with a 6 speed transmission.

8. Tata Harrier EV (expected Rs 30 lakh) It has a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup. The Harrier EV gets charge from vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V). The Harrier EV is expected to have a battery capacity of about 60 kWh and offers 400 km mileage.

9. Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG :- Maruti Suzuki Brezza was showcased at the 2023 Auto expo event. This car is expected to launch in August 2023. The price and other features are not revealed by the company but it comes with a price rise of Rs 1 lakh over the regular petrol variants.

10. Citroen eC3 ( 8.25 lakh ex-showroom) :- The all-electric eC3 is powered with a 29.2kWh battery, paired with an electric motor that produces a maximum power of 57 PS and a maximum torque of 143 Nm. By using a fast 15 amp DC charger it takes 57 minutes to charge from 10 to 80 percent. It will launch in mid 2023.
