There is a saying that mistake is the biggest teacher and some Bollywood actors are proving it right. The career of an actor is undoubtedly a roller coaster ride full of hits and misses. While some manage to break records, some movies just break audiences’ hearts and leave an indelible mark on an actor’s entire career. That’s why they say, picking up the right script is the key to success. At times, movies don't perform well despite good script and acting. But some films are so bad that they force the actors to go on a redemption journey. Here is a list of the top 10 Bollywood actors who did the wrong movie at the wrong time and regretted it later:

1. Shahid Kapoor (Shaandar): Despite lavishing sets, melodious songs, and great acting, Shahid Kapoor and Ali Bhatt failed to fill the game of weak script in Shaandar. Talking about his role in Shaandar, Shahid himself confessed that signing shaandar was not a wise move. "Shaandaar being the first on that list. Chup Chup Ke maybe I wouldn’t want to do and maybe Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi --because I think it was trying to be an international film and we didn’t have the kind of expertise to do that kind of computer graphics," he told Filmfare.

2. Ajay Devgan (Himmatwala): Ajay Devgan is one of those actors, who has been in the audience’s heart since the start and a bad movie from him hearts them a lot. Filmmaker Sajid Khan's attempt to remake the 80's movie Himmatwaala required pure guts to watch. The movie was such a pain that it has a rating of 1.7 on IMBD.

3. Katrina Kaif (Boom): Every actor wants to start their career with a bang, but Katrina started her career with Boom that kinda took her career to downfall. When I signed the film, I was not aware of Indian culture and tradition. Had I known that aspect of India, I would not have done the film. I would not do anything like that again. And if this means that I won't get to do films anymore, I won't, especially if filmmakers expect me to do all the stuff that they see in Boom," said Katrina Kaif, as per TOI.

4. Twinkle Khanna (Mela): Twinkle is really grateful to Mela that he met Akshay Kumar but she really regrets doing it in the first place. Taking a dig at the film, she wrote on Instagram "Certain things, I suppose, are timeless! This popped up in my messages today and what can I say except Mela has certainly left a mark or a scar, whichever way you look at it, on me and the rest of the nation."

5. Kangana Ranaut (Rajjo): She proved the critics wrong after her roles in movies like Fashion and Queen. With such caliber, we wonder why she took up movies like Rajjo and Revolver Rani?

6. Saif Ali Khan (Humshakals): Saif Ali Khan signed Humshakals in the hope of giving life to his unconscious career but the plan backfired. According to a TOI report, Saif admitted that he had 'surrendered' himself to the filmmaker. “The film didn't have a script as such, it was all there in Sajid's mind. I did whatever he asked me to. I did the film thinking that it will help me expand my market, but obviously, that wasn't a clever idea. I've been introspecting a lot and will never repeat a mistake that was Humshakals," he said.

7. Amitabh Bachchan (Aag): Aag not just affected Big B’s career but also splashed mud on Ram Gopal Varma’s choice. The movie was the worst the industry had seen and Amitabh Bachchan couldn't agree more. Talking about this failed experiment. he said, “That you ask him (Ram Gopal Varma). Whenever a film is made and I am part of it. Whatever mistakes would have happened (failure) or whatever good things would have happened I take responsibility for that. I feel an actor and a director should be held responsible for the failure of a film.”

8. Emraan Hashmi (Good Boy Bad Boy): When Emraan Hashmi said that 'kuch filmein kitchen chalane ke liye bhi karni padti hain', hinting at his movie Good Boy Bad Boy. He further added.

9. Abhay Deol (Aisha): Abhay Deol is one of those actors who has always amazed us with his choices of the script but not just us he himself thinks Aisha was a bad mistake done by him. When I was shooting, I realized that the film was more about clothes than actual acting. I even read reviews of the movie that praised the clothes. I would like to say today that I will never ever be part of a film like Aisha in my lifetime. It’s not the kind of film I’d like to do," said Deol, as reported by TOI.

10. Akshay Kumar (Entertainment): We have no idea what was going on in Akshay’s mind when he signs on the dotted line of movie contracts. He does movies like Special 26 and Baby that just make us love him and then we see him in movies like It’s Entertainment and Boss. Why Akshay, why?
