Congratulations! We have successfully managed to survive till the 8th month of 2021. Last two years we witnessed many heart-wrenching events that taught us a lesson to show gratitude for what we have. While the coronavirus pandemic left an impact on many industries, the entertainment industry was hit very hard as all theatres had to close down. But everything is now getting back on track after the arrival of OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos, HBO Max, and Hotstar in our life. So when theatrical releases got a pause, we got our movie date set up with OTT platforms. So continuing the tradition of experiencing the movie release digitally, here is a list of Top 10 movies and series that are going to see their release in September 2021.

1. Thalaivi (September 10): Helmed by AL Vijay, Thailaivi featuring Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, exhibits the life of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and legendary actress Jayalalitha. The movie is scheduled to release on 10 September 2021. Ignoring the trend of digital release, the movie will release in theaters all over the country.

2. Ankahi Kahaniyan (September 13): One of the most awaited series of 2021, Ankahi Kahaniyan tells the story of lonely souls to discover surprising sources of connection and companionship in three tales of love, loss, and longing. The series will air on Netflix on September 13, 2021.

3. Shang Chi (September 3): Marvel’s first-ever Asian superhero solo movie Shang Chi and the legend of ten rings is slated to see its release on 3rd September 2021. While this movie will start a new chapter in the phase of Marvel, it will also explore the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.

4. Bhoot Police (17 September): Exploring another horror story, starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandes in lead, the movie will release on 17 September. Saif and Arjun will be seen playing ghostbusters in this movie who will get trapped in a horrifying place.

5. Lucifer season 5 part 2 (September 10): Lucifer broke many hearts when it left the audience on the cliffhanger in season 2. But answer all the questions the mythological drama is coming back with the part of Lucifer’s season 5. The series will release on Netflix on September 10.

6. Money Heist season 5 (September 3): The buzz created in 2020 around the Mexican series Money Heist was the most incredible one. To impress the audience with another Heist the coming back for its 5th installment that will release on September 03.

7. Kate (September 10): ” Kate” is one of the much-awaited movies starring Mary Elizabeth. The story follows the ultimate revenge with only 24 hours in the pocket. Helmed by Cedric Nicolas – Troyan, the main face behind the award-winning venture, The Huntsman: Winter’s War the movie will release on September 10.

8. Superhost (September 2): With their follower count dwindling, travel vloggers Teddy and Claire pivot to creating viral content around their most recent "super host," Rebecca, who wants more from the duo than a great review. The movie will release on September 2.

9. Sex Education season 3 (September 17): The first trailer for Sex Education season three has been released, with viewers sharing their reactions on social media. Framed as an advert for the show’s fictional setting of Moordale school, fans got a new look at their favorite characters ahead of the series’ return on 17 September.

10. Mumbai Dairies 26/11 (September 9): The trailer of Nikkhil Advani and Nikhil Gonsalves's much-awaited series Mumbai Diaries 26/11 is finally here. The makers of the series, which will premiere on Amazon Prime on September 9, released the trailer on Wednesday evening and it will definitely keep you glued to the screen.
