But just like every time our favorite filmmakers have come up in your rescue with their long list of movies and series, scheduled to see their release this month. So, it is time for us to sit back relax and brush up on our watch list. Today we bring you a list of the top 10 movies and series scheduled to release in February:
1. Loop Lapeta: The Hindi adaptation of the popular German, romantic-science thriller ‘Run Lola Run’ is based on the story of a girl racing against time to save her boyfriend from a dangerous situation. The movie stars Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin in prominent roles.
2. Shabaash Mithu: This month is a big month for Taapsee Pannu as, after Looop Lapeta, the actress will witness the release of her next outing titled Shabaash Mithu. The movie is a biography based on the life of Mithali Raj, the caption of India’s Test and ODI women's cricket team. The movie is going to release on 4th February.
3. The great Indian Murder: With a nail-biting trailer, the series is coming up with a story filled with suspense and vengeance, and politics. Helmed By Tigmanshu Dhulia, the series is based on Vikas Swarup's Six Suspects. The show will stream on Disney+Hotsar from 4th February.
4. Rocket Boys: This series is based on the inspiring life story of Indian nuclear physicists Homi Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai, this biography features Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh in the lead roles. This is a try from the cinema to pay tribute to legends of the nation’s space programs.
5. Gehraiyaan: Trailer, Poster, Storyline, Music, everything about the movie is just top-notch. Casting Deepika Padukone, Sidhanth Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa in the lead roles, the movie focuses on the lives of four individuals and their complex relationship, friendship. The movie is scheduled to release on February 15.
6. Badhai Do: The sequel movie of Badhai Ho, the movie features Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednaker in the lead. The movie is based the story of a couple stuck in a lavender marriage in this family drama. Helmed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni will release on 11th February.
7. Death On The Nile: Based on Agatha Christie’s 1937 novel of the same title, this upcoming mystery thriller focuses on a world-renowned private detective and former policeman who investigate the brutal murder of a young heiress. The movie stars Kenneth Branagh, Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French and Gal Gadot in prominent roles.
8. The Fame Game: Marking the OTT debut of Indian superstar Madhuri Dixit Nene, the series is going to showcase the high and lows in the life of popular superstars. The show stars Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Lakshvir Saran, Suhasini Muley and Muskkaan Jaferi in the lead roles.
9. Jayeshbhai Jordaar: Revolving around the empowerment and protection of women in our society, this social comedy features Ranveer Singh in the titular role. The movie also marks the Bollywood debut of Shalini Pandey, a Tamil and Telugu actor, who plays the female lead in the movie. Directed by Divyang Thakkar, this movie will hit the theatres on February 25th.
10. Gangubai Kathiawadi: Based on S Hussain Zaidi’s Mafia Queens Of Mumbai, this biographical crime drama stars Alia Bhatt as the protagonist. With a promising teaser and a gripping storyline, we are already super excited about this movie. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the movie will hit the theatres on February 25th.
