Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi topped the list of world leaders with the highest approval rating of 70 per cent, according to research published by Morning Consult. The ratings state that as of November 4, 2021, 70% of average Indians (sample representative of the literate population) approve of Prime Minister Modi while only 24% disapprove of his leadership. American research institute Morning Consult posted the list after sampling all adults amongst several countries in the world. The approval ratings are monitored for governmental leaders across the following countries- Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This is also not the first time that PM Modi has topped the ratings of the American research firm. In January 2021, 'Morning Consult' rated Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the "Most Popular Head of Government". Even in September 2021, PM Modi was ranked the most approved world leader by the firm among 13 world leaders, with a percentage of 70%. Here is the Global Leader Approval list:

1. Narendra Modi: 70 per cent The 14th and current prime minister of India since 2014, Narendra Modi tops the list with a 70% approval rating.

2. Lopez Obrader: 66 per cent Serving as the 65th president of Mexico since 1 December 2018, Andrés Manuel López Obrador comes in second with an approval rating of 66%.

3. Mario Draghi: 58 per cent The current Prime Minister of Italy since 13 February 2021, Mario Draghi comes at third in the list with a 58% approval rating.

4. Angela Merkel: 54 per cent German politician serving as the chancellor of Germany since 2005, Angela Merkel sits at 4th position in the list with a 54% approval rating.

5. Scott Morrison: 47 per cent The 30th and current prime minister of Australia since August 2018, Scott Morrison comes in at 5th position with an approval rating of 47%.

6. Justin Trudeau: 45 per cent the 23rd and current prime minister of Canada since November 2015, Justin Trudeau is in 6th position with a 45% approval rating.

7. Joe Biden: 44 per cent the 46th and current president of the United States, Joe Biden sits at 7th position with a 44% approval rating.

8. Fumio Kishida: 42 per cent Newly elected Japanese Prime Minister, who assumed office on 4th October 2021, Fumio Kishida comes at 8th position with an approval rating of 42%.

9. Moon Jae-in: 41 per cent the 12th and current president of South Korea since 2017, Moon Jae-in is at the 9th position with a 41% of approval rating.

10. Boris Johnson: 40 per cent serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since July 2019. Boris Johnson comes at the 10th spot with an approval rating of 40%.
