The popularity of a series and movie can be determined by the celebration and hype of its main lead character in the audience. Sometimes we get so evolved in a movie that we start living the life of the character. And if you think just because a TV series is loved, fans are going to love all its characters then you are highly mistaken. There are characters whose sole purpose seems to be to annoy the hell out of other characters and the audience. These characters get so annoying sometimes that we wish to step on the screen and kill them. Here we bring you the top 10 most hated characters of most popular series and movies:

1. Bauji Tripathi (Mirzapur): There is no denying the fact that we all enjoyed the death of Bauji Tripathi in the climax of Mirzapur season 2. The things he did to his daughter-in-law and housemaker boiled our blood. The character of Bauji was so hated that it received so many hate comments from the audience that Kulbhushan Kharbanda was forced to leave the show.

2. Arturo (Money Heist): Every punishment in this world is small for Arturo. Arturo is that one character that gave the show a nail-biting turn but in the most vivacious manner that made the audience hate him to another level.

3. Joffrey Baratheon (Game of Thrones): Every appearance of the Joffrey Baratheon on screen makes us question the makers that why the hell does he exists. Cersei Lannister was manipulative. But Joffrey Baratheon was not just cruel, but also a spoiled brat who misused his luxuries.

4. Andy Bernard (The Office): Some characters on this list were pretty likable in the start but Andy Bernard was awful since the start and itched our heads. With time, the character development of Andy declined and he got progressively worse. By the end, he was just, well, awful.

5. The Vulture (Brooklyn Nine-Nine): Every office has that one annoying, manipulative co-worker, who never works for a day in his life, but swoops in like a vulture and takes credit for your hard work, at the last moment.

6. Ted Mosby (How I Met Your Mother): wasn’t Ted supposed to be the most loving character of the show. This was that one rare moment when a show or movie's protagonist has been utterly unlikeable.

7. Piper Chapman (Orange Is the New Black): Given that Orange Is the New Black was based on the memoir by Piper Kerman, it only made sense that the series would follow the character inspired by her, Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling). Thankfully, the show quickly realized that all of the side characters were far more interesting and that Piper's privilege and lack of self-awareness just made her a drag.

8. Emily Waltham (Friends): Some fans still argue that Ross Geller is one of the least characters of the show but in reality, it was Emily we all hated the most. she was extremely selfish when she demanded that he doesn't hang out with Rachel, and she barely considered his career when she decided that they should move to London.

9. Laxman (Waqt: The Race Against Time): We were sorely tempted to pick Nattu Bhai (Boman Irani) because of his tendency to always show off. But Laxman and his incessant questions take the cake when it comes to being the most annoying character ever.

10. Meg Griffin (Family Guy): The adult animated cartoon Family Guy is home to several unlikable and annoying characters, but even the characters themselves would agree that Meg Griffin is the absolute worst. Not only is she often the butt of her family's jokes, but she also constantly complaining about her life instead of taking action and changing it.
