1. Ra. One (4.5 crores): Helmed by Anubhav Sinha changed the course of Bollywood. While the movie was unique in every manner, it cost a lot for the producer. And the movie was such a big-budget movie that Shahrukh’s robotic suit costed nearly Rs 4.5 crores. Reportedly there were nearly 20 different superhero costumes used in the film, the collective cost came to ₹100 crores.

2. Bajiro Mastani (50 Lakh): From lavishing movie sets like Aaina Mahal to lavishing jewelleries worth 45 Lakh, Sanjay Leela Bhansali left no chance to make it one of it’s kind. The movie was so high on money that, Deepika's costumes alone cost ₹50 lakh.

3. Krrish 3 (10 lakhs): Krrish is that one movie, which managed to hit the marvel level in India. In the movie, Kangana Ranaut was seen custom-made bodysuits for her role in the film. Reportedly every costume of the actress cost 10 lakhs and she used 10 costumes of such kind.

4. Tevar (75 Lakhs): While the total budget was kept under the wrap, the movie producers revealed that the song ‘Radha Nachegi’ cost them around 2 crores and out of 2 crores, 75 Lakh was spent on Sonakshi Sinha’s costume.

5. Padmaavat (20 Lakh): Despite being embroiled in controversies, the film turned out to be a hit with the audience, with people raving about the performances, the set designs, and the brilliant costumes. Designed by Delhi-based designers Rimple and Harpreet Narula, one of the costumes weighed approximately 30 kgs, and cost ₹20 lakh. This was the costume Deepika wore for 100 days of the shoot.

Devdas (15 Lakh): Devdas is one of the most loved cult classics of the Indian cinema and the movie was so much celebrated by the audience that the costume wore by Madhuri Dixit was auctioned for Rs 3 crore. At the time of its release, news about the exorbitant price of the film's sets (approximately ₹20 crores) overshadowed the fact Madhuri Dixit's outfits in the film cost nearly ₹15 lakh per piece’

7. Jodha Akbar (14 Lakhs): Made on an overall budget of ₹40 crores, Jodhaa Akbar won Neeta Lulla the National Award for Best Costume Design. Lulla, who designed not just for the lead pair, but for the entire cast, took over a year to prepare for the film. Reportedly, each costume that Hrithik wore cost ₹12 lakh, while Aishwarya's costumes cost ₹2 lakh each, excluding the price of the jewelry.

8. Kambhakt Ishq (10 Lakh – for one dress): While the movie filed to leave mark on the audience's mind, the outfits worn by Kareena Kapoor left us all floored. A single dress Kareena wore in the film cost ₹8 lakh and was specially ordered from Paris by producer Sajid Nadiadwala.

9. Robot (3 crores): The Superstar of the South can never be behind in any race, Rajnikanth in the Tamil movie Enthiran known as Robot to many, wore a Rs 3 crores costume. The unforgettable role of Chitti Robot Directed by Shankar Panikar is a sci-fi and romantic film, which earned approx Rs 2.90 billion solely due to the craze of the star cast.

10. Singh is Bling (65 Lakhs – single turban): While the movie was not such a big-budget movie Akshay Kumar decided to wear a pure gold turban that cost him nearly 65 Lakh rupees. Directed by Prabhu Deva, the movie had an experienced actor Akshay Kumar at the helm and catchy songs.
