The Indian car market has grown exponentially, thanks to the introduction of SUVs that for long have been setting examples of being the perfect family cars. 2. Kia Seltos: The Kia Seltos is the brand's first product in the Indian market. Launched in August 2020, the car has taken no time to dominate the mid-size SUV segment in India, overtaking its competition in the first month itself. 3. Tata harrier: Tata’s venture into the SUV market continued with the launch of the Tata Harrier in January 2019. 6. Jeep Compass: The Jeep Compass features excellent build quality along with good all-around capability. The five-seater has won numerous awards since its launch in July 2017. Coming to the looks, the most distinct body element of the Compass or any Jeep for that matter could be the bold eight-slat grille. The base model sports an ex-showroom price tag of Rs. 15.60 lakhs, while the premium model costs Rs. 25 lakhs.

7. Skoda Kushaq: Skoda Auto India has launched the Kushaq mid-size SUV in the country. The model is based on the MQB-A0-IN platform that will also underpin the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun. It starts at a moderate price of Rs 10.71 lakh and goes up to Rs 17.62 lakh for the automatic dual-clutch transmission system.

8. Mahindra XUV500: The style and feature-loaded SUV, the XUV500, from Mahindra now gets all the more interesting with a host of innovative technologies. Although mechanically identical to its predecessor, the 2017 model gets Android Auto, Connected Apps, Ecosense and Emergency Call. The swanky SUV now also comes with a petrol engine for the first time. It starts at Rs 13.27 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 20.11 lakh.

9. Tata Nexon: The Tata Nexon is one of the strongest contenders in the compact-SUV market. It is also the first compact SUV from the legendary Indian brand. The funky looks of the Nexon, derived from Tata’s Impact Design 2.0 philosophy has got a lot of appreciation among the younger mass. . The car’s Delhi ex-showroom price ranges between Rs. 6.95 lakhs and Rs. 12.70 lakhs.
