Ankita was born on 19th December 1984 in Indore. Her father, Shashikant Lokhande, and her mother, Phadnis Lokhande, were teachers.
Ankita made her acting debut in 2009 with the TV daily soap opera "Pavitra Rishta," starring alongside Sushant Singh Rajput. The TV serial ran till the year 2014.
