Whether it be the cinema of the nation or classic ear-soothing music, every diverse element of Indian art has helped India corner the international scene. Looking at the success of Indian music on the global scene, many international music artists have shaken hands with Indian artists for international collaborations. From Snoop Dog to Lady Gaga, there have been a number of artists who shared their diverse music elements with India. Today, here we bring you a list of the top 10 Indian artists who collaborated with International Music artists:

1. Priyanka Chopra Jonas – Pitbull: Miss World 2002 winner, Priyanka Chopra decided to add another tag to her resume when she decided to turn into a singer. And she kickstarted her career with some international collaborations. And for her first international song, Exotic, she collaborated with iconic rapper and singer Pitbull. Then she made her next move and collaborated with will.i.am for her song, In My City.

2. Sunidhi Chauhan - Enrique Iglesias: Sunidhi Chauhan needs no introduction when it comes to Hindi music. With tons of songs and dozens of awards, the actress has made a stamp of herself in the industry. But back in the day, she decided to step into the industry and do some international projects. For her first international collab, the singer collaborated with Enrique Iglesias for the song, Heartbeat.

3. Asha Bhosle – Brett Lee: A singer collaborating with a cricketer sounds really unique. But Indian singing legend made it real when she collaborated with Australian fast bowler Brett Lee for a song in his album called Asha and Friends. In a loving paternal way, the two looked really cute together.

4. A R Rahman - Pussycat Dolls: Indian music legend, A. R. Rahman is known as Maestro for a reason and this reason can be seen in his songs. The work of the singer has been so wide, that international celebs like Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Damien Marley, and Dave Stewart formed the band SuperHeavy, and joined hands with him. But one of the most iconic international collabs of the singer came out ass Jai Ho which featured the voice of international superstar Pussycat Dolls.

5. Salim-Suleiman - Lady Gaga: Lady Gaga and her love for the Bollywood industry’s masala, movie, and music is known for all. Showcasing her love, she dropped her desi-mix single track Born This Way, which featured the work of globally celebrated music composer Salim-Suleiman.

6. Sonu Nigam - Kylie Minogue: Bollywood believes in magic and one magic happened when A.R. Rahman approached pop sensation, Kylie Minogue for a Bollywood track titled Chiggy Wiggy. She did get a whopping 1 million for the track, so we see why she went silently.

7. Akshay Kumar – Snoop Dog: Hip-hop superstar, the man himself, Snoop Dogg, turned Punjabi for a staggering amount of dollars in the title track of the movie Singh is King. We hear it was Akki who managed to convince Snoop to don a pagdi, despite the fact that the rapper had his own crew and stylist fly down with him! The most intriguing aspect of this track is the mix of hip-hop and bhangra styles. A great video no two ways about it!

8. Shaan - Blue, Melanie C: Who can forget Shaan’s version of the boy band Blue’s famous track One Love- Kya Maine Socha? He made an easy transition from the English vocals to the Hindi, something that really lacked in some of the other collaborations we’ve mentioned. At the same time, he also roped in former Spice Girl Melanie C, to feature in his breakthrough track Tanha Dil.

9. Ravi Shankar - George Harrison: The maestro of Indian classical music Ravi Shankar, in cohorts with the producing genius of George Harris from the Beatles, released a three disc album and musical treat for his fans.

10. Akon and Hamsika Iyer: Chammak Challo from Ra One became an instant hit after its release, not only due to its groovy track but the presence of the Senegalese-American singer Akon in it. A lot of artists, including Akon, Giorgio Tuinfort, Gobind Singh and Vishal-Shekhar worked on composing the track which was sung by Akon and Indian singer Hamsika Iyer. Chammak Challo marked Akon’s first collaboration with Indian musicians.
