Today here we bring you the top Hindi web series that is adapted from foreign web series:

1. Aarya (Penoza): Marking the comeback of Sushmita Sen after a long sabbatical, Aarya is a thrilling women-centric Hindi web series. Show portraying the story of a daring woman who pledges to avenge the murder of her husband is inspired by the Dutch drama series Penoza.

2. Criminal Justice (Criminal Justice): Criminal Justice is one of the initial web series produced in India. The show wowed the audience with its layered storytelling and gutsy performance. The crime-thriller, legal drama is based on the British series of the same name.

3. The Office (The Office): Who is not aware (or Fan) of the globally renowned American sitcom The Office. The Indian filmmakers adapted the show and produced a show with the same name. The Hindi adaptation captured Gopal Dutt in the lead. The makers gave their best but failed to match the aura of the original Office.

4. Your Honor (Kvodo): Based on the Israeli web series Kvodo, Your Honor is one of the most mind-blowing Hindi web series. The show explores the story of an obedient judge, and the moral conundrum he faces in order to save his son. While the pace of the show isn't the best thing about it, it still manages to build momentum.

5. Call My Agent: Bollywood (Call my agent): Inspired by a French web series, Call My Agent: Bollywood, is a family comedy-drama. In contrast to the original web series, the series is unfortunately barely funny. tarring Aahana Kumra, Rajat Kapoor, Ayush Mehra, and Sani Razdan, the series tries too hard to be a funny commentary on the industry.

6. Mind The Malhotras (La Famiglia): The cinematic take on the life of a couple, who keeps juggling between their family and their professional life, is the remake of the Israeli show La Famiglia. The show is a light watch, but we know how Indian comedies work out, and that's not very impressive.

7. Rudra: The series is an adaptation of the British series, Luther. Rudra: The Edge of Darkness has been received positively and there are two major reasons for it. One is Ajay Devgn's performance, which always brings in the right amount of intensity. And, the other reason is the fact that the show has its own identity and doesn't rely on the original series, in its entirety.

8. Out of Love (Doctor Foster): Portraying the life of a couple and their dying marriage, Out of love is one of the most thrilling Hindi web series. The show is adapted from BBC’s one of the most celebrated web series Doctor Foster. The show adapted too much from the original and yet missed the essence.

9. Hostages (Hostages): Hostages is the Indian adaptation of an Israeli series of the same name. The show received mixed reviews and didn't come very close the original series in terms of the way it was delivered. The problem lies in the fact that most Indian adaptations do not experiment or bring something new to the table, they pick the emotion from the original work, scene by scene.

10. Black Widow (Mustat Lesket): Black Widows is an adaptation of the popular 2014 Finnish show, Mustat Lesket. This dark comedy is something different for the Indian audience - given that the genre hasn't been explored a lot. The script has been localized, keeping in mind that the audience will connect differently if they're able to relate more.
