They say history more often repeats itself and the fashion of the 90s coming back in trend is proof of that. The tinsel town of Bollywood is known for two things- movie and glamour. And undoubtedly 90s is the golden period for movies and fashion. And currently, not just the sequel of 90s movie is coming but also the fashion trends of 90s is coming back in trend. The young divas of the industry are time and again seen donning the same fashion outfit worn by veteran divas in their young days, Here we take a look at the top 10 Bollywood Fashion from the ’90s that’s back nn style:

1. Knotted t-shirt: Undoubtedly, high-waisted jeans are our best friends. And it gets a special charm when they are worn with a knotted t-shirt. We assume that it is the new day's trend but Juhi Chawla used to ace it back in the 90s with a pair of tiny glasses.

2. Oversized Jacket: Oversized Jackets are the new cool. It doesn’t matter it is the 90s or 2022, oversized jackets and fits never go out of trend. Styled with midi dresses or mom pants, this is the most easily style aesthetic to date.

3. Printed Separate: It is seen that printed separates are Bollywood’s all-time favorite. It is hard to find any difference between two-piece worn by Nora Fatehi and Shilpa Shetty in the late 90s.

4. Athleisure & Activewear: Athleisure & Activewear are the ultimate rockers of the fashion industry that has been used to take the style a notch higher. They are not just fashionable but are also super comfy and airy.

5. Chiffon Saree: You might remember Sri Devi‘s iconic blue saree from the ’80s in Mr India. However, the chiffon saree really found its footing and evolved in the ’90s. These sarees were seen on literally every heroine in almost every movie. One of the more memorable moments was Raveena Tandon in Mohra, who wore a vibrant yellow saree in the song, Tip Tip Barsa Pani. Regal chiffon sarees are still popular to this day.

6. Crop Tops: You have to be under the crop to not notice the charm and hotness of crop top. The fits that made influence during the time of spice girl is still used to compliment fits with high waisted jeans. 90s actress Shilpa Shetty, Juhi Chawla, and Karishma Kapoor should be credited for bringing them in trend.

7. Sequin Dress: Sequin dresses are the go-to dress of the modern-day Bollywood divas but still they have failed to don like Rani Mukherjee in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The sparkle and glitter of the dresses never fail to grab my attention.

8. Denim Shirts: Whether it be denim jeans or denim shirts, denim never failed to rule the fashion industry. This is why, even today, you will find a ton of celebs donning washed-out denim shorts with a knot in front.

9. High Waisted jeans: High-waist pants always keep coming back in style. They make you look taller and leaner plus it is flattering on most bodies. It’s no secret that it made it’s way back into the closets of every fashionista. TBH when I was a kid I wasn’t a huge fan of this style, but you couldn’t avoid it and now, it’s one of my favorite pieces.

10. Croset tops: Corsets give an hourglass figure. And just like the '90s, we love to accentuate our curves with our outfits.
