1. Tanisha Mukherjee: Daughter of Tanuja and Kajol Devgn’s sister, Tanisha Mukherjee made her debut with Ssshh in 2003 but failed to make a big break. A few months later, she finally got her chance to make her debut as lead actor in eal ‘n’ Nikki starring opposite Uday Chopra, and that’s it. With the failure of the movie, Tanisha got overshadowed by the big celebs in movies like Sarkaar and Tango Charlie, and soon she disappeared from the industry.

2. Kim Sharma: After featuring in some ads, Kim made her Bollywood debut with SRK’s ‘Mohabbatein’. Her bold and bubbly role of Sanjana helped her bag lead roles in movies like 'Tum Se Achcha Kaun Hai' (2002) and 'Tom, Dick, and Harry' (2006). But her roles were not enough to help her make her stamp in the industry. The actress disappeared right after she broke up with cricketer Yuvraj Singh.

3. Sneha Ullal: Even after making a big Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in Lucky - No Time For Love, Sneha Ullal failed to make her identity in the industry. After failing in Bollywood, she turned the starting of her career to the South Indian industry, where she did some cameos in big moves but ended up being the doppelganger of Aishwarya Rai.

4. Udita Goswami: With the help of the success she got with blockbuster movies including Paap, Zehar, and Aksar, Udita Goswami was all set to make herself a big name in the industry. But instead of working on her professional life, Udita chose to marry producer Mohit Suri and work on her personal life. These days, she’s mother to a daughter and a son and is also a DJ and music composer.

5. Anu Aggarwal: Undoubtedly, Anu Aggarwal can’t be blamed for disappearing from the industry. Yet known as the Ashiqui Girl, Anu featured in a handful of blockbuster movies. But her life changed she suffered a life-threatening accident. Ever since she has been focusing on the positive part of life and got too involved in Yoga and Meditation.

6. Gayatri Joshi: Ashutosh Gawadkar’s Swadesh was the only movie that featured Gayatri Joshi. Despite being awarded the Best Female Debut and Most Promising Newcomer - Female awards, we never got to see her again on the screen.

Bhumika Chawla: Her simple, coy and conventional looks were best suited for girl-next-door roles but, unfortunately, Bhumika didn’t stand out after her debut in Tere Naam as Salman Khan’s love interest. She soon made her way to the South Indian film industry and gained popularity there. 8. Ayesha Takia: Ayesha Takia is one of the few actresses of managed to garner success for herself but failed to keep it close. We saw her impeccable acting in movies including, Wanted, Dor, and Tarzan: The Wonder Car. Now married to politician and businessman Farhan Azmi, she's been seen hosting the musical reality show 'Sur Kshetra' in 2012.

9. Mayuri Kongo: Mayuri has been missing from our screens for the longest in this list. After starring in films like Papa Kehte Hain, Hogi Pyar Ki Jeet, and Betaabi, she barely left a mark in Bollywood. The actress got married and moved to New York to pursue her MBA. She’s currently working as the Industry Head for Google India.

10. Shamita Shetty: After her debut in 2000 with multi-starrer 'Mohabbatein', Shamita made a few song appearances in 'Saathiya' and 'Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai'. In June 2011, Shetty announced her retirement from acting to start a career in interior design.
