The secret behind the long-term career of Bollywood's successful actors is their versatility. Agree to it or not but Bollywood has seen very few versatile actors who are able to make changes in themselves for a particular role. To earn the tag of a versatile actor, they have to step in the shoes of many different characters. Sometimes they become a mentally challenged adult or sometimes their character goes mad and becomes a dangerous villain. Switching between characters can be easy but donning the character of a villain is hella difficult. The actor has to feel like the character, they have to feel that negativity and hate for others which makes the character look authentic. To appreciate the work of tremendous Bollywood actors, here is the top 10 actors who rocked the silver screen with their negative roles:

1. Ranveer Singh (Padmaavat): The movie credits under the name of Ranveer Singh are less but he managed to give tough competition all the well-established stars. He exhibited another color of his acting by playing the role of Allauddin Khilji in Padmaavat. From dialogue delivery to body language, every action of the actor was so top-notch that it made us trust that he is the real Khilji.

2. Nawazuddin Siddiqui (kick): The Bollywood industry saw the arrival and departure of many actors but never some as versatile as Nawaz is. When the actor made his silver screen debut in Munna Bhai MBBS no one thought that he will reach this height of success. He gave many marvelous performances and one of those was his acting in Kick. Nawaz played the main antagonist, Shiv Gajra, in Kick. Siddiqui's role may be minuscule in the two-and-a-half hour-long film, but he makes the most of it, even overshadowing Salman and Randeep Hooda.

3. Kajol (Gupt): The climax scene of Gupt is so confusing that many of the Bollywood buffs are still in the search of who killed Bobby Doel. The credit for making this movie a classic goes to Kajol. Her role as a psychotic lover in the movie Gupt was so mind-blowing that it fetched her the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role, in 1997.

4. Priyanka Chopra (Aitraaz): We witnessed many performances of the international movie star but her role in Aitraaz still seems like magic. Her performance as the sizzling dominating boss in the movie Aitraaz is unforgettable. She was brave to play a negative role, in the initial days of her career. As they say, fortune favors the brave. Priyanka won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role, in 2004, for the role.

5. Sanjay Dutt (Agneepath): It is not easy to take out but Sanjay Dutt has the most gangster vibe in the Bollywood industry. These vibes came out when he stepped in the shoes of Kaancha for Agneepath. His big muscular body, shaved head, and dialogue delivery made him the best villain of the decade. The character was already a legendary one so Sanjay Dutt had to bring his A-Game to match that for the movie. And Sanjay Dutt definitely did not disappoint.

6. Supriya Pathak (Ram Leela): Supriya Pathak’s role in Khichdi still has a special place in our hearts. She has always played positive roles—a caring mother, an innocent daughter-in-law, a dutiful wife... But as the matriarch, Dhankor Baa—leader of the Sanera community— in the movie Goliyon ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Supriya Pathak stunned the audience and her fans. It is not surprising then that she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for the same.

7. Shahrukh Khan (Darr): When Shahrukh Khan entered the industry he was considered the most innocent and charming boy of the town until the role of Rahul Mehra in Darr: Rahul was a psycho lover who was obsessed with a girl named Kiran. A man who does not fear anything will go to any extent to get what he wants and Rahul Mehra just does that.

8. Ritesh Deshmukh (Ek Villian): Whenever Ritesh made a silver-screen appearance he ended up tickling our funny bone but this serial killer role of him made us serious about him. In Ek Villian, he played the role of Rakesh Mahadkar, a common man who turns out to be a serial killer who takes the lives of women just to take out his frustration and anger.

9. Konkona Sen Sharma (Ek Thi Daayan): As a deadly witch in the movie Ek Thi Daayan, Konkana Sen Sharma’s performance was indeed outstanding. The movie bombed at the box office, but Konkona, as usual, didn’t fail to impress her fans.

10. Saif Ali Khan (Omkara): Pataudi Khan Saif is one of the famous Bollywood stars. Saif in his acting career span has done many films which gave him fame. He played a negative shade character in the film Omkara, and his excellent performance in the movie made him win the Filmfare Award.
