The year 2021 was full of surprises. Being a roller coaster ride, this year delivered another kind of fun and satisfaction as after being jailed in our house the whole of 2020, we got a chance to explore the outer city again. Going out was not the real thing that made us excited but it was the excitement of dressing up and putting our sartorial foot forward that gave us a big dose of serotine. The year again made us go high on fashion. From sizzling corset tops to heart-robbing oversized clothes, here are the top 10 aesthetically pleasing Bollywood fashion trends that created a buzz in 2021:
1. The oversized fits: Since the day we saw Billie Ellish in oversized fits, we have been going la la oversized fits. Even the Bollywood industry went crazy after it. You can see the craziness in the picture that captured Anushka Sharma wearing a baggy sweatshirt and baggy jeans with chunky shoes.
2. Infinity Blouse: New piece of clothing introduced in 2021 was a sizzling Infinity Blouse, it not just enhances your beauty but also gives you a sense of chic style and traditional wear in your day-to-day outfits. And this fact was cemented by the look of Alia Bhatt for the wedding of her bestie Akansha Ranjan.
3. Flaunting Midriff: The year 2020 made us sick and forced us to hit the workout ASAP. Thanks to that force we all got washboard abs and 2021 gave us a chance to flaunt it. And the art of flaunting midriff was taught by actress Janhvi Kapoor in her golden knee-length dress.
4. Sizzling athleisure: The one thing we learned in 2021 was that nothing is more important than comfort and this comfort we got in athleisure. The perfect mix of athletic and chic style outfits is what we always needed in life. Even the Bebo was all flattered on these outfits.
5. Tie-Dye Prints: Trending prints in tie-dye were seen throughout seasons, continuing from 2020. From airport fashion to home parties, tie-dye dresses, tees, athleisure sets, and even sarees did the rounds. 6. The style of leather: Leather has always been the perfect mix of elegance and class. The Btown divas gave it their own touch to make it look chic and classy. We were trying to get over Tadap and Tara Sutaria treated us with her coco leather set.
7. Shining bright with Neon: Popping neon colour palettes were a bit hit and an eye-catchy trend of 2021. The vibrant and striking attires in neon called for a party of some of the best outfits in B-town. Styling neon colors can sometimes be tricky, but thankfully our stars only won hearts.
8. Ruffled sleeves: The year 2021 showed the importance of sleeves in the dress. We always wanted to go sleeveless but now we realised that sleeves are the real statement makers. Need proof, take a look at the enchanting pantsuit of Malaika Arora with pupped sleeves.
9. Pastel love: Subtle, elegant yet attractive pastel colours were seen in heavy demand among all celebs. From evening gowns to sarees, everything had an extra touch of grace and radiance and made our celebs look picture perfect. Even when it came to festive looks, celebs didn't leave out pastel. Priyanka Chopra was a gorgeous desi girl in a pastel printed lehenga for Diwali.
10. Classy Corset: Probably it was the Bridgeton hangover in Bollywood that corsets were a peak fashion statement of the year 2021. Pairing it with pants, skirts or even sarees was the new found fashion game in B-Town. Just take a look at Nora Fatehi and Khushi Kapoor looking stunning in their corset attires.
