The popularity of Bigg Boss, the Indian counterpart of Big Brother, has touched tremendous heights in Indian small screen industry. Since the controversial reality show has cornered a large chunk of the market, it has made many other reality shows bow down. The show was first aired in 2006 and this year, the 15th season of the show will be aired. Every year the popular franchise comes up with another drama and controversy-packed season that takes the TRP of the show to sky seven. Over the course of 15 years, the show has successfully flourished. Here is a look at the winners of Bigg Boss from season 1 to 15 and what they are doing now:

1. Rahul Roy (season-1): We hope you all remember the charming guy from vintage Ashiqui. Rahul Roy made his Bollywood debut with Ashiqui and created a buzz around his name. With this buzz, not just he won many hearts but also won the first-ever season of Bigg Boss. The actor, producer, and former model is still very much a part of the industry, albeit not an extremely successful one.

2. Ashutosh Kaushik (Season 2): Ashutosh Kaushik entered Roadies with the motive of garnering fame in the industry. His goal helped him win the fifth season of Roadies and the second season of Bigg Boss. He appeared in TV shows like Comedy Circus - Chinchpokli to China and Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. After he disappeared like fog.

3. Vindu Dara Singh (season 3): The son of India’s greatest wrestler Dara Singh, Vindu appeared in the third installment of Bigg Boss. With his bold personality and strong voice, he impressed the audience and won the season. After that, he appeared in a ton of Bollywood movies including some prominent ones like Housefull and Son of Sardar. In 2013 he made headlines for being involved in the IPL scandal.

4. Shweta Tiwari (season 4): After acing the art of acting in Kasauti Zindagi ki Shweta Tiwari was approached for Bigg Boss 4 and to be very honest the discussion of the team came out pretty effective. She made her mark by winning the season. The actress still has an important place in Indian Television industry and can be seen doing tasks in Khatron Ke Khiladi 11.

5. Juhi Parmar (season 5): This year famous TV anchor, actress, dancer, and singer Juhi Parmar was the winner. She is the wife of another renowned TV personality Sachin Shroff. She has a daughter named Samaira.

6. Urvashi Dhokalia (season 6): The Indian television industry saw many vamps in this long history but the impression Kamolika made was truly incredible. The actress was so popular in the audience that in season 6 she not just dominated the house but also won it. After winning Bigg Boss she took a break from acting. Now, the actor is back on Indian television and was last seen on Nach Baliye.

7. Gauhar Khan (season 7): This is back to back 4th time a woman has won the show. The actress has been seen in a lot of films like Game, Ishaqzaade, and Fever. She has also featured in some item songs in Bollywood films. She recently exchanged vows with popular social media influencer Zaid Darbar.

8. Gautam Gulati (season 8): The dashing Gautam Gulati known for his role in Diya Aur Baati Hum is the winner of the 8th season. After getting immense popularity in the show, he worked in some films. The most famous among them is Emraan Hashmi starrer Azhar.

9. Prince Narula (season 9): The list of reality show trophies under Prince Narula’s name is pretty big. He first won MTV roadies, then earned the trophy of Spiltsvilla, and then conquered the milestone of Bigg Boss. After the win, Prince bagged his first acting opportunity on TV in Badho Bahu. Since he has been seen in various TV dramas like Laal Ishq and Naagin 3. In 2019, Prince also won Nach Baliye 9 with his wife and fellow actor, Yuvika Chaudhary.

10. Manveer Kumar Baisoya (season 10): The first non-celebrity to win the title, Manveer is actually a farmer and dairy agriculturist by profession. Post his win, he went back to his life in Noida and is an avid social worker.

11. Shilpa Shinda (season 11): The hype for the Indian TV show, Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai is unreal and credit for this hype somewhere goes to Shilpa Shinda. The popularity helped her win the 11th season of Bigg Boss. After winning the show, she left her acting career and joined politics. In 2019, she joined the Indian National Congress and will be seen participating in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

12. Dipika Kakar (season 12): Dipika Kakar, who rose to fame with Sasural Simar Ka won Bigg Boss 12 in 2018. Post her win, she went back to appearing on TV shows and was last seen in Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum opposite Karan Grover.

13. Sidharth Shukla (season 13): The 13th edition of Bigg Boss was a treat for the audience as it not just gave them great content but also treated them with some marvelous stars. The grand finale of the show took place on 15 February 2020 and Sidharth Shukla was announced as the winner while Asim Riaz was runner up. Recently the actor was featured in a music video that has garnered more than 11 million views on YouTube.

14. Rubina Dilaik (season 14): Rubina Dilaik won the show after staying in the house for over 140 days, the actress took home the winner’s trophy and ₹ 36 lakh amount. Rubina Dilaik emerged as the winner with singer Rahul Vaidya as the first runner-up, while actress Nikki Tamboli stood third. Currently, the actress can be seen playing the lead in Indian daily soap Shakti.
