Samsung launched its one-of-a-kind folding smartphone on August 11 after a lot of speculation and leaks came through. It's price starts at a whopping Rs 149,999. The previous version of the phone, Galaxy Z Fold 2, had faced a lot of slack for its lack of durability. The backlash got so severe that Samsung even had to stop its sales and production altogether and get the phone checked. This time over, Samsung has upgraded the hardware as well as the software of the Z Fold 3. Launched with another peculiar Galaxy Z Flip 3 which also has a bending screen, the Z Fold 3 comes at a substantially higher price. However, the cost of such a unique phone might be justified by the sheer performance and design value. Here are 5 points about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3:

1. For the display, the phone comes with a 7.60-inch touchscreen primary display with a resolution of 2208x1768 pixels at a pixel density of 374 pixels per inch (ppi). It also features a 6.20-inch touchscreen as its second display, with a resolution of 832x2268 pixels.

2. Under the body, it comes in two different variants. A 12GB RAM with 256GB and another 12GB RAM with 512 GB variant. It runs Android 11 and is powered by a 4400mAh battery. It supports fast 25W charging.

3. As for the cameras, there is a three-camera set-up. The first camera has 12 megapixels Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS. The secondary camera is a telephoto lens with 12 megapixels and an f/2.2 aperture, meanwhile, the third camera is an ultrawide lens with a 12-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. At the front, it has a single lens which has 10 megapixels with an f/2.2 aperture.

4. Other features include a sleek body design with chrome finish, Fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, Samsung DeX (desktop experience support), Ultra-Wideband (UWB) support.

5. It comes in 3 colour options, namely Phantom Black, Phantom Silver, and Phantom Green. As of 2nd September 2021, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 price in India starts at Rs. 149,999. Meanwhile, the upgraded storage version costs Rs 157,999.
