She is the daughter of Shatrughan Sinha. Sonakshi recently was in the news as it was reported that she was dating Zaheer Iqbal. Zaheer is a Bollywood actor and he made his debut with the movie "Notebook". Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are rumoured to be dating. Zaheer often shares pictures with Sonakshi Sinha and the two are spotted together on many occasions. Some people thought they are just friends while others opined they are in a relationship. However, they have not yet confirmed their relationship.
Sonakshi is currently in news for her rumoured relationship with Zaheer, however, both of them called each other just close friends.
Sonakshi Sinha's friend Varun Sharma shared a picture on his Instagram handle. He captioned it, "Oyeeee hoyeeee isey kehte hai blockbuster Jodi," which he deleted in less than 24 hours.

On September 17, Sonakshi posted her latest project announcement and it seems like the celebrities have joined hands for a music video titled 'Blockbuster', created by Dhamaka Records. She wrote the caption "BLOCKBUSTER..coming soon... tayyar ho?".
