The actor was born to parents Krishna Kumar Singh and Usha Singh in Patna the capital of Bihar, on 21st January 1986. Since birth, the goal of achieving the sky never let him rest.

Rajput was reportedly an avid reader who was deeply interested in astrophysics and won the National Olympiad in Physics. A fire kept burning inside her that took him to India's top engineering college - a sure way of securing a bright future for middle-class families.

He got admission to India’s top college but his love never let him sleep. His love for acting made him drop college and brought him to Mumbai, the city that weaves thousands of dreams every day.

The actor kicked off his acting with a television serial titled Kis Desh Main Hai Meraa Dil and after that got signed for another iconic serial Pavitra Rishta that brought him under the limelight.

While the journey of Pavitra Rishta, he falls in love with co-actor Ankita Lokhende and craved many couple goals for the fans. But tragically their love didn’t last long and they broke up in 2016, after a 6 year-long relationship.

After getting into the limelight, Sushant got a chance to make it to the peak and he accepted it with both of his hands. In 2013, he made his film debut in buddy drama Kai Po Che!, for which he received a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Debut.
