The world saw the first Industrial revolution around the 1760s to sometime between the 1820s-40s. Though then, India was ruled by the British East India Company, yet it started to have its own companies. It would take a lot of effort for Indians to start their own company rather than working under British officers. The influential Indians used to establish good contacts with British officers and that would help them get their work done fast. Probably many of us don’t know, but the big names, brands, or industries that we know today, are much older than we can even think of.
