Actor Nayanthara, 37, and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, 36 exchanged vows on Thursday, June 9, 2022, in the presence of close family and friends. Film stars including Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Karthi, Sarath Kumar, Atlee, Vijay Sethupathi, and Mani Ratnam attended the wedding and gave their blessing to the newly married couple. Hour after the marriage, the first pictures from the wedding ceremony were posted on the official social media handle of the couple.
In attendance of close family and friends, Kollywood actress Nayanthara tied knots with her love filmmaker Vignesh Shivan.
The couple got married at an intimate event at Mahabalipuram with family and close friends. Initially, they wanted to get married at Tirupati temple, but due to logistics issues that didn’t happen.
Sharing the wedding pictures on his Twitter handle, Vignesh wrote, On a scale of 10... She's Nayan and am the one. With God's grace, the universe, and all the blessings of our parents and best of friends. Just married Nayanthara."
Both the ensembles of the couple were designed by Jade Monica and Karishma. The star couple began dating in 2015.
For the unreversed, the love story of Vignesh and Nayanthara started back in 2015, when they worked together for the first time on a venture titled Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. After keeping their relationship under the wrap for a long time, the couple made their relationship official at an award ceremony in 2016.
