Mohammed Siraj was born on March 13, 1994, in Hyderabad. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowler, who plays for the Indian cricket team, Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL, and Hyderabad in domestic cricket.

Mohammed Siraj's father was an Auto-rickshaw driver and his mother used to work as a housemaid. Once in an interview, he revealed that at the start of his career people trolled him and said, "Some told I should stick to driving auto like my father".

As a child, Siraj started as a batsman, however, during playing gully cricket his friends told him his bowling was better than batting. Even today, he credits his friends for his success.
