Maruti Suzuki Jimny is ready to be sold in the Indian automobile market. Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the 5 door Jimny SUV at the Auto Expo 2023. The company has already started the booking for the SUV. The new Jimny will be sold through the Nexa showroom with the aim to achieve 50 per cent market share and take the first spot in the SUV segment . Jimny SUV was first showcased with 3- door in 2020 at last edition of Auto Expo but now the company has released the 5 door variant that will play a key role in the SUV market. 1. Price:- The price of this SUV is between Rs 12 lakh to Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). The Jimny five-door is offered in two variants :- Zeta and Alpha. Deliveries will be starting from March 2023.
2. Engine:- This SUV is powered by the 1.5-litre K15B, 1498 cc petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 101 bhp at 6000rpm and a maximum torque of 130Nm at 4000rpm. The two variants of this SUV come with the five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic transmission.
3. Dimension:- Coming to its dimension, Maruti Jimmy is 3985 mm in length, 1645 mm in width, 1720 mm in height and it has a 2,590mm wheelbase.
4. Mileage :- It offers 20 kmpl mileage. This SUV has a 60.0 litres fuel tank. It comes with 192mm ground clearance and 587 liters boot space
5. Interior:- Looking at the inside, it is equipped with chrome door handle, spot map lamp on roof front, glove box light, front footwell light on driver and co-driver side, stylish AC vents, steering-mounted controls, and a part-digital instrument cluster.
6. Exterior:- On the outside, this SUV is featured with round headlamps and independent indicators, the horizontal slit-like design, front grille with vertical openings, clamshell bonnet and rear combination lamps at the rear bumper.
7. Infotainment system:- The new SUV has a large infotainment system. It also offers air updates indicator, SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an Arkamys sound system.
8. Safety:- It comes with major safety features including 6 airbags, ESP with hill hold assist, hill descent control, rear-view camera and ABS with EBD.
