They came, they won our hearts and then they disappeared. There’s a plethora of examples from the Bollywood industry where an actor became an overnight star, just through the success of their debut movie, and then they disappeared. You never know who will become the next big thing or whose destiny will change. There have been a number of Bollywood actors and actresses who created a storm with their first film and became overnight stars; however, they were unable to maintain their winning run with subsequent ventures and quickly faded into obscurity. Such are the tales of the glam world's "lost faces," who rose to prominence in the first shot but then vanished into thin air. Check out these 10 Bollywood one-hit wonders who we wish had stayed in the industry a little longer:

1. Kumar Gaurav
He had a slew of women vying for his attention, as well as a slew of producers waiting for him to put pen to paper. Kumar Gaurav, in fact, checked all the boxes that an actor needs to be successful-Good beauty, a lovely demeanour, and, most of all, outstanding acting abilities. Kumar Gaurav made his acting debut in Love Story (1981), which was an instant box office triumph and turned him into an overnight sensation. However, the box office failures of his subsequent films ensured that he was quickly pushed out of the league.

2. Rajeev Khandelwal
Rajeev made his debut with the psychological thriller Aamir (2008). The film was well-received, with Rajeev garnering acclaim for his performance. Rajeev Khandelwal had a successful small-screen career with Ekta Kapoor's daily series Kahiin To Hoga. The actor, on the other hand, was determined to make it in Bollywood. However, the actor's next production did not go well at the box office, resulting in his downfall.

3. Bhagyashree
Her portrayal beside Salman Khan in Sooraj Barjatya's Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) convinced everyone that she was the ultimate girl next door. At the time, Bhagyashree was regarded as the embodiment of beauty and grace. She married millionaire Himalaya Dassani, much to everyone's astonishment, and it marked the end of what may have been a successful career. She decided to quit acting after her marriage.

4. Rahul Roy
In 1990, he made his screen debut in Mahesh Bhatt's hit Aashiqui, and everyone fell in love with his chocolate boy features. Despite the fact that everyone expected him to be the next big thing, his career has only gone downhill. Rahul failed to continue his dream start and didn’t manage to pull off his next few movies with grace.

5. Gayatri Joshi
What are your chances of landing a role in your debut film opposite Bollywood's King of Romance? Asutosh Gowariker in Swadesh gave Gayatri Joshi this excellent opportunity opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Despite her excellent performance in the picture, she was unable to pique the interest of producers, resulting in a dearth of further offers.

6. Rajiv Kapoor
Being a member of a movie family comes with a lot of expectations. Expectations are much higher if you are a member of the Kapoor family, who are regarded as Bollywood's foremost family. Despite the fact that Rajiv's career did not start off well, he found success with his father Raj Kapoor's last film, Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985). However, following a succession of box office failures, he graciously retired from the industry.

7. Gracy Singh
Gracy Singh had already established herself as a star thanks to her role in the television serial Amanat before making her Bollywood debut. Ashutosh Gowariker chose her to act opposite Aamir Khan in the Oscar-nominated Lagaan 2001 because of her popularity. Although the popularity of Lagaan helped her land several opportunities, she was unable to maintain her position in the film industry. Her last noticeable appearance was alongside Sanjay Dutt in Munnabhai M.B.B.S. (2003).

8. Bhumika Chawla
Bhumika made her bollywood debut with Salman Khan in the blockbuster Tere Naam. For many talents, breaking into the Bollywood industry from the south hasn't worked out. Not everyone can be as successful as Sridevi, Hema Malini, Meenakshi Sheshadri, and the like. Bhumika has acted in a number of South Indian films, but she hasn't been able to replicate her success in Bollywood. However things didn’t work out for her in bollywood.

9. Sneha Ullal
When Salman is here, there's no need to be afraid! Sneha Ullal, the godfather of many aspiring artists, received her big break through the 'Bhai of Bollywood.' Many speculated that he cast Sneha Ullal because she resembled his former girlfriend and the stunning Aishwarya Rai. This undoubtedly brought her the much-needed prominence, but it did not stay long. Sneha didn’t feature in many movies afterwards and people gradually forgot her too.

10. Diana Penty
This 'Cocktail' actress, who is really attractive, could have done miracles. Her role in the film was perfect for her, but she has vanished without a trace. Despite receiving the award for 'Best Newcomer,' she hasn't been seen much on the big screen. This talent hotspot is sorely missed.
