Beauty trends and hacks have always been changing and people have tried adjusting with it, but they never last long. Korean beauty is all the hype nowadays. We’ve not only heard but also seen what exactly Korean beauty is. In today’s time it’s also referred to as K-Beauty. The Korean beauty regimen is not for the ones who cannot work patiently, patience and hardwork gives you the absolute best results. Korean products are all about routine, dedication and consistency. Being all this will make you believe in the wonders of time. Korean skincare is for pre-damage stage rather than post-damage stage. It doesn’t undo the damage done to your skin but helps to protect the skin from more damage. So, how do Koreans work through it? Come on, let's find out the K-Beauty Skin-Care secret. These are the steps that are to be followed in this 10-step (Daytime) Korean Skincare Regime:

1. Oil-based Cleanser This first step is very important. As many of you know that dirt clings to our skin through oil particles, they could either come from us or the surrounding. That doesn’t matter but the point is to remove it. Water based cleansers are not effective in removing the oily impurities from the skin. Though it won’t remove the natural oils your skin has.

2. Water-based Cleanser The most basic and commonly used cleaner people think and know about cleansers. This usually is in the form of foam, gel or a bar. This removes the remaining impurities from the skin that the oil-cleanser can’t remove.

3. Exfoliant We all know about the scrubs and peels, but even after knowing it we usually kind-off skip it or forget about it. This step is crucial as it helps in removing the skin build-up and dead skin cells. For beginners it's important to keep in mind to start slow (doing once a week or bi-weekly).

4. Toner The glaringly obvious thing we often forget about is our skin’s pH, and after working on your skin with products it is detrimental for the pH balance to go haywire. So, to get the pH into balance once more toners come to play. Toners bring back the balance of the skin and restore moisture into the skin.

5. Essence Essence is said to be the soul and heart of the whole Korean skincare. This is a Korean Skincare only product. It comes between the category of toners and serums. It not only hydrates the skin but also protects it. It also works in aiding with cell repair and turnover.

6. Treatment: Serum/Booster/Ampoule The concentrated essence is serums with a good amount of active ingredients. The core step and purposeful step in all of the Korean routine. The one step that you do to take care of the core problems with your skin. This step helps in targeting and treating specific issues of the skin such as Pigmentation, acne, wrinkles and/or dullness.

7. Sheet Mask A step which is okay to do regularly but won’t harm your skin if skipped in between. Sheet masks are infused with serum and/or essence and used like a paper mask on the face and is kept for 20 minutes to rest. It helps in relaxing your skin. These can be done twice or thrice a week.

8. Eye cream The sensitive areas like the area around the eye also need attention and more-so some special attention. These eye creams help in doing just that. These come in different forms like creams, gels, or oils.

9. Moisturizer The binder that works in ensuring that everything gets absorbed into the skin and locks the moisture to the skin keeping it supple and soft.

10.SPF Our skin is most prone to damage through skin, and nowadays people are too acknowledging it. The extremely important step that is taken very seriously is SPF or also known as Sunscreen. Sunscreen helps in protecting skin from sun damage that if not done results in wrinkles, tanning, pigmentation and in some extreme cases skin cancer. This step is a must and one that is to never ever be forgotten.
