The wedding bells are ringing in the tinsel town of Bollywood. And the next couple to get married in the wedding season is Bollywood actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal. Long rumoured to be in a relationship, Katrina and Vicky finally exchanged vows in a low-key wedding ceremony at Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan on Thursday. Yes, the fairy tale wedding has finally happened and we can’t take our eyes off the couple. Now the couple is painting the town red with the dreamy pictures from their intimate wedding.
Taking to Instagram, Vicky and Katrina shared candid pictures from the wedding, including the jaimala ritual and pheras. They were also captured gazing lovingly at each other during the ceremony.
In the photos, Katrina looks gorgeous in a red and gold lehenga. On the other hand, Vicky can be seen sporting an off-white sherwani. The lehenga worn by Katrina was made of ‘handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work and meticulously embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet’.
Vicky’s outfit was described as an ‘ivory silk sherwani with intricate marori embroidery and iconic Sabyasachi handcrafted gold plated Bengal Tiger buttons, with a silk kurta and churidar’. He also wore a tussar georgette shawl. His safa was paired with a handcrafted kilangi and statement necklace, the post said.
Congratulatory messages poured in from many of their colleagues in Bollywood. “Oh my god you guys look so so so so beautiful,” Alia Bhatt wrote, along with a bunch of heart emojis.
Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif kept their wedding a secret and stayed tight-lipped about it. But the rumours were almost confirmed when the couple left for Rajasthan on December 6.
