In the era of modern love finding the perfect example of marital bliss is harder than finding water on the moon, but there is always some space for exception and that exception is Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and his gorgeous wife Miraa Rajput. From battling controversies together to traveling the world together, the couple has taught us the lesson of how to hold each other in tough times. Their relationship was nothing short of a Sooraj Barjatya movie, that not just gives you a family goal but also gives you hope to find love one day.
Shahid Kapoor, who is13 years older than Mira once revealed that the couple never got a chance to date each other, they hardly met each other three or four times before tying the knot.
Talking about the "moment" he fell in love with his wife, he said, "I’m still falling in love with her….a bit more every day. The first time we met, we spoke for seven hours. We were at a friends' farmhouse in Delhi. We went for a walk outside and the sun was setting behind her. I realised her eyes were not dark. They had a hazel tinge. That moment, I felt shayad main iss ladki se shaadi kar sakta hoon. But I also told myself, 'What are you thinking? Bees saal ki hai besharam!'"
But Shahid anyway fell head over heels for Mira's and left no stone unturned to make Mira feel the same intense love for him. The couple kept their relationship low-key and away from showbiz.
In an interview with a leading daily, Neliima said, “He was very shy when he told me. He is like that, he is very careful and he was not sure how I would react to it, but I got very excited.
“He showed me her picture and after that, we met. I met Mira and she was so sweet, young, and full of enthusiasm, love, and affection. I fell in love with her at first sight.”
After making their parents agree to their marriage the next thing that came in there was their age gap but the couple didn’t let it affect their dreamy love story.
Shahid once had said, "My wife is an amazingly mature, evolved human being who decided and was sure of who she wanted to marry at the age of 20. How many people have the conviction to do that? I think you spend your life well in your 30s as I have. I had no clue what I wanted to do in 20.
Eventually, in 2015, the couple got married. A year-and-half later, Shahid and Mira welcomed their first daughter Misha. In 2018, Shahid and Mira welcomed their younger son Zain.
