Sanjay first met Manyata when he was in a relationship with a junior artist named Nadia Durrani. Manyata’s original name was Dilnawaz Shaikh. Nadia and Dilnawaz were poles apart and Sanju chose Manyata to write his life.
While Nadia chose Sanjay’s money, Manyata looked at the good side of Sanju and loved to take care of him and cook food for him.
After keeping their relationship under the wrap, Sanjay Dutt and Manyata made their first couple appearance at an award show, where they kept holding each other’s hand all the time.
Finally, after 2 years of courtship, Sanjay and Manyata tied a knot at Taj Exotica, Goa on February 7th, 2008, according to Hindu rituals in a private wedding ceremony in Goa.
