When it comes to Bollywood couples, few cause as much excitement in the country as the prince of Bollywood Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. There is no denying the fact that Kareena and Saif came as one of the most sorted couples in the Bollywood town, who never leave a chance to paint the town red with their mushy and romantic PDAs. While Kareena is the life of any party she attends and is famous for being the gossip queen, Saif is more of a reader. And the two definitely have a love story to be proud of.
Saif fell in love with the actress during the filming of their blockbuster movie Tashaan that also featured Akshay Kumar and Anil Kapoor. He first met Kareena on the set of his and Karisham’s movie when she was just a young girl.
Their relationship is one of the most talked about affairs of the town as Saif is 10 years older than Kareena. Another reason for the controversy around their relationship was Saif’s marriage. Saif and Amrita got married in 1991 and had two kids, Sara and Ibrahim. The couple had a messy divorce in 2004 but things got better between them over time.
The stars first worked together in LOC Kargil (2003) and the multiple award-winning Omkara, before coming together once again to shoot the action-comedy movie Tashan.
Before, Kareena said yes to him, Saif had proposed to her twice during their trip to Paris, once at a bar and again at the Notre Dame Church. These places are really close to the heart of Saif as his father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi had proposed to his actor mother Sharmila Tagore at the same place.
Being a film star, Saif chose the most-filmy way to publicly declare his love for Kareena. He got her name inked on his arm in big bold Hindi letter. Saif was first spotted with the ‘Kareena’ tattoo in 2008, the same year as the release of Tashan.
After Kareena said yes to him and they made their relationship public, the couple decided to move in together. Before tying the knot in 2016, the couple lived together for more than 5 years.
Despite being in the spotlight, the couple decided to keep their wedding ceremony very private. After living together for five years, the couple sealed the deal with a week-long celebration including a sangeet at Kareena's Bandra home. The duo tied the knot on October 16, 2012.
After months of giving her fans major maternity style inspiration, Kareena Kapoor Khan welcomed their first baby, Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi on December 20, 2016.
The year 2020 will be marked in history as in this year other than coronavirus we saw some of the most talked-about baby announcements and one of them was Saifeena’s official announcement about expecting their second child. Kareena gave birth to their second child on February 21. Though we still don’t know the baby’s name, Kareena shared the first glimpse of the baby in a monochrome pic on International Women’s Day.
