Widely loved Comedian and actor Raju Srivastava took his last breath on Wednesday, 21 September. On August 10, he was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), after he suffered a heart attack while working out in a hotel gym. There he underwent angioplasty and since then he was on the ventilator and never gained consciousness. According to the media reports, he was declared dead at 10.20 am. Raju rose to fame after participating in the first season of the reality stand-up comedy show "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" (2005). After this show, he featured in various Bollywood movies too. All these years, from the best and worst days to this day that no one ever wished for, his wife remained constant support. Raju Shrivastava, met his lady love Shikha Shrivastava at his brother's wedding in Fatehpur. It was love at first sight for Raju.

Shikha, who lived in Etawah at that time, is Raju Srivastava's sister-in-law's cousin. As soon as Raju got to know this he convinced his brother and started visiting Etawah frequently.

In Etawah, in order to impress Shikha, he became friends with Shikha's brother. However, he couldn't muster the courage to confess his feelings to Shikha.

Soon Raju realised the fact that in order to marry his love, he needed to have a stable career. And for his career, he came to Mumbai in 1982 and started trying out his luck.

After achieving something in his life, he decided to marry Shikha, but still was unable to confess his feelings to Shikha.

Later, he decided to send the marriage proposal to Shikha's family, and for this he took help from his family members.

Eventually, the couple married on May 17, 1993. Raju and Shikha became parents to Antara and Ayushman Srivastava.

Raju Srivastava was not just a comedian but an actor too. He worked in several Bollywood movies such as ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, ‘Baazigar’, the remake of ‘Bombay to Goa’ and ‘Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya’. He was also the chairperson of the Film Development Council Uttar Pradesh.
