Indian Television actors, Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee are undoubtedly one of the most lovable celebrity couples. Both Gurmeet and Debina rose to fame from the 2008 show 'Ramayan'. Gurmeet played Ram and Debina Sita, the fan following of this adorable couple rose drastically after the show, to the extent that they are still Ram-Sita to many of their fans. Subsequently, many people think that the couple met each other on the sets of Ramayan and thereafter fell in love with each other. But this is not true, their love story is not that simple and they in fact tied the knot 3 times. The couple also showed their love and togetherness on reality shows like- Khatron ke Khiladi (KKK) 5 and Nach Baliye 6. The couple has been together for over a decade now. On April 3, they became parents to a beautiful girl, and recently broke the news of expecting their second child too. Here we bring to you the magical love story of Gurmeet and Debina :
Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary first met each other for the first time in 2006. Both of them took part in a Talent Hunt Contest where they were amongst 30 participants.
Their love story started when Debina ’s roommate was dating somebody, who was best friends with Gurmeet Choudhary.
Whenever Debina’s roommate's boyfriend would come over, Gurmeet would come along too and that’s when the two became friends and had non-stop conversations about everything under the roof.
It was on the sets of Ramayan, that they both understood they have "found their special someone". After working as the costars in the series and spending so many hours together on the sets, they still wanted to spend some more time together.

In 2009 the couple had a secret wedding in the temple, only in the presence of a few friends. For around 2 years no one, except the attendees of their secret wedding, had any idea that the couple was already married.
On February 15, 2011, after revealing their wish to get married to each other, to their family members, Gurmeet and Debina tied the knot. And the couple married again for the third time in 2021, on the occasion of 10 years of their marriage. This time the couple had a wedding following Bengali traditions.
In an earlier interview with The Free Press Journal, Gurmeet had said that Debina was his first ever girlfriend. He said, "There are lots of people who have told me that one never gets to be with one’s first love for an entire lifetime. But I have been very lucky in this case, because I got married to her."
The couple is currently blessed with their first baby- Lianna Choudhary, and most recently the couple announced that they are going to become parents for the second time.
