A successful love story is hard to find out in present times. However, the love story of Akhilesh Yadav and Dimple Yadav is the perfect example of such rare, successful love stories. It is said that Akhilesh Yadav's father and Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav was against his son's marriage to Dimple, who was a Rajput. Like any intercaste love saga, their story also faced many hurdles but both of them crossed those barriers gracefully and the couple finally became one and got married in Lucknow. Akhilesh and Dimple started together as friends and later their friendship blossomed into love, and got the wedding bells ringing.
Akhilesh did his schooling from Dholpur Military School, Rajasthan, later obtained his Bachelor's and master's degrees in Civil Environmental Engineering at JSS Science and Technology University. He also holds a master's degree in environmental engineering from the University of Sydney, Australia. His better half Dimple, did her schooling in Pune, Bathinda and Andaman and Nicobar island and Army Public School, Nehru road, Lucknow. She did her graduation in commerce from Lucknow University.
Akhilesh Yadav and Dimple Yadav's love story began in the 90s. Akhilesh was 21 and Dimple 17 when they came to know each other through a common friend. It all started with friendship and gradually turned into love.
Akhilesh Yadav, a sports enthusiast and Dimple, an avid horse-rider, continued their love affair for around four years before they finally got married.
Apart from the fact that thecouple belonged to different castes, the family background of both Akhilesh and Dimple was also different from each other. According to media reports, it is believed that Amar Singh played a crucial role in convincing Mulayam Singh Yadav for Akhilesh and Dimple's marriage.
The couple had grand scale wedding which was graced by bollywood superstars including Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna.
The bond Akhilesh and Dimple shares is just amazing. Quite often Akhilesh has publically highlighted the importance of Dimple in his life, ``shaadi karke toh kismat khul gayi (got lucky as soon as I got married)''.
The lady love of Akhilesh Yadav can be easily seen in various rallies supporting her husband. She actively takes part in making arrangements for her husband's rallies and in addition to all this, she also takes care of her household.
Akhilesh Yadavhas been the youngest chief minister of Uttarpradesh while Dimple has also served two terms as the Member of the Indian Parliament from the Samajwadi Party representing Kannauj.
The couple is happily married for over 20 years now and has been blessed with 3 kids - Aditi, Tina and Arjun.
